About Bulbarrow Consultants

These terms govern the relationship between Matt Thomas, trading as Bulbarrow Consultants ("we", "us", "our"), and any person or organisation ("you", "the client") who engages our services or uses this website.

Bulbarrow Consultants provides private crisis case management, holistic coaching, mediation, and related consultancy services from within the United Kingdom.

Engagement of services

A contract for services is formed when we confirm acceptance of your instructions in writing (including by email). No contract exists solely on the basis of an enquiry, consultation call, or submission of this website's contact form.

We reserve the right to decline any engagement at our discretion and without obligation to provide reasons.

Our services are provided to adults (18 years and over) only. By engaging us you confirm that you are 18 or over, or that you are acting with full legal authority on behalf of an organisation.

Fees and payment

Fees are agreed individually for each engagement and confirmed in writing before work commences. We do not publish a fixed fee schedule, as the nature and complexity of each situation varies significantly.

Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 14 days of the date of issue. Overdue payments may attract interest at the rate prescribed under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

We reserve the right to pause or discontinue services in the event of non-payment.

Confidentiality

All information you share with us is treated with strict confidence. We will not disclose your identity or the nature of your situation to any third party without your explicit consent, except where we are required to do so by law (for example, to prevent serious harm to you or another person).

Our confidentiality obligations do not prevent us from using anonymised case experience to inform our practice or to illustrate our work in general terms, provided no identifying information is disclosed.

Scope and limitations of our services

Bulbarrow Consultants provides consultancy, case management, and advisory services. We are not a regulated financial adviser, solicitor, medical professional, or mental health clinician, and our services do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or clinical advice.

Where clinical, legal, or financial expertise is required, we will advise you to seek appropriate professional input and can assist in identifying suitable referrals.

In an emergency involving immediate risk to life, please call 999 (UK) or your local emergency services. Do not rely on this website or any communication with us as a substitute for emergency assistance.

Intellectual property

All written materials, reports, frameworks, and other work product we create for you remain the intellectual property of Bulbarrow Consultants unless expressly assigned to you in writing. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use such materials for the purpose for which they were produced.

All content on this website, including text, images, and design, is the property of Bulbarrow Consultants or its licensors. You may not reproduce or republish any content without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bulbarrow Consultants shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from the use of our services or this website. Our total liability to you in connection with any engagement shall not exceed the fees paid by you for that engagement.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by providing written notice. Where you terminate an engagement part-way through, you remain liable for fees in respect of work already performed up to the date of termination.

We reserve the right to terminate an engagement immediately and without liability if we reasonably believe that continuing would expose us or a third party to harm, legal risk, or reputational damage.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Continued use of our services after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
