In the world of addiction and mental health treatment, personal development and transformation, ethical considerations are paramount. As a dedicated professional I'm committed to providing you with the highest standard of care while adhering to strict moral and ethical guidelines.

The Importance of Being Trauma-Informed

From trauma-informed support to holistic healing approaches, and referalls to trauma treatment experts, my comprehensive services integrate multiple evidence-based modalities.

I specialise in creating personalised support programs that acknowledge the deep connection between trauma and life’s challenges. Through trauma-sensitive coaching, clients discover new pathways to healing while developing resilient coping strategies. If needed, a referal to a trauma expert will happen.

My trauma-informed services extend beyond traditional approaches, offering a complete spectrum of healing opportunities that honour each individual's unique journey toward wholeness.

Understanding that trauma manifests differently for each person, my approach caters for multiple therapeutic modalities through maintaining strong professional networks, I ensure that clients receive comprehensive care that adapts to their evolving needs. This collaborative approach allows for seamless transitions between different levels of support, from coaching to specialised trauma treatment when necessary.

Whether you're seeking support for addiction recovery, mental health challenges, or personal growth, my trauma-informed perspective provides a foundation for meaningful change. By creating a safe, supportive environment and drawing upon evidence-based practices, we work together to build resilience, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and foster lasting transformation that honours your unique healing journey.

What, exactly is being"Trauma-Informed?"

Being "trauma-informed" means recognising that many individuals have experienced trauma in their lives, which can profoundly impact their thoughts, behaviours, actions, and overall well-being. Unresolved trauma can lead to adapting coping mechanisms that then lead to dependency and addiction and a multitude of other disorders or behavioural patterns.

As a coach and case manager,  I approach our work together with this awareness, creating a safe, supportive environment that respects your unique experiences and needs.

However, it's essential to understand that being trauma-informed doesn't mean treating trauma itself. Instead, it involves:

  • Recognising signs and symptoms of trauma

  • Acknowledging the impact of trauma and its relevance to other conditions

  • Integrating my knowledge about trauma into my coaching/case management practices

  • Actively avoiding re-traumatisation

  • Referring to trauma qualified clinicians and establishments to address specific needs

  • Continuing our work alongside the trauma work, or if a dedicated or intense period of treatment is needed, after it.

Being trauma-informed is central to my approach, recognizing that past experiences can significantly shape current challenges. While I don't provide trauma treatment directly, I create a safe, understanding environment that acknowledges these experiences. This awareness allows me to offer appropriate support while connecting clients with specialised trauma treatment when needed, ensuring a comprehensive approach to healing and recovery that respects each person's unique journey
